On the auspicious occasion of Sri Ram Navami and the 43rd anniversary of the opening of Krishna Balaram Mandir, a grand Shobha Yatra was organized yesterday at ISKCON Vrindavan temple.
Hundreds of enthusiastic devotees participated in the yatra following the four beautifully decorated palanquins holding the murtis of Srila Prabhupada, Gaura Nitai, Krishna Balarama and Radha Shyamasundar and Lalita Visakha. The parade was accompanied by an ecstatic harinam sankirtan headed by ISKCON Vrindavan temple president, H.G. Pancha Gauda Prabhu and H.G. Deena Bandhu Prabhu along with other senior devotees. The palanquins of Srila Prabhupada and Their Lordships visited the BGIS Campus ground to give their blessings to the Gurukula students, teachers and staffs.
Their Lordships were received with much pomp and fervor at Gurukula compound. Wonderful preparations were offered to the Deities. The students recited the Brahma Samhita prayers and the Gurukula boys performed the arati ceremony under the supervision of H.G. Mukunda Datta Prabhu, the head pujari of ISKCON Vrindavan.
The procession continued and visited different departments around the temple premises. The festival culminated at MVT garden.
