From March 29th to April 1st, 2025, 70 enthusiastic youth and 20 senior devotees from ISKCON KualaLumpur, gathered for an unforgettable journey into not only the heart of nature—but also the soul.
Held at the Gopeng Rainforest Resort, nestled deep in the rural beauty of Perak, Malaysia, this year’s retreat, themed “Coming Back,” invited participants to disconnect from the noise of modern life and reconnect with Krishna, community, and their inner selves.
Organized by ISKCON Kuala Lumpur Youth Department, the retreat brought together youth devotees in a setting that encouraged both adventure and introspection.
The seeds of this transformative retreat were sown six months in advance by a dedicated team working around the clock to coordinate logistics, speakers, meals, and accommodations, ensuring a smooth experience amidst the rugged charm of the rainforest.
The retreat was blessed by the association of special guests: Bhakti Brhat Bhagavata Swami, Sri Gauranga Das, Kewal Krishna Das, and Gadadhar Prana Das—each bringing their spiritual wisdom, warmth, and enthusiasm to inspire the youth.
The remote location—with limited mobile connectivity—proved to be a perfect metaphor: to retreat truly is to disconnect from the world and reconnect within.
