On November 7, 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland, students from Dr. Bhadra Rupa’s School of Kirtan Performance and Composition performed their own original compositions (music and lyrics) inspired by the Ramayana at the United Nations in Geneva (UNOG). The event celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Geneva Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the fifth annual “Faith for Rights” meeting. This was the only musical performance during the celebration.

Govardhan EcoVillage (GEV) has been featured in a Faiths for Biodiversity report released at the 16th annual Conference of the Parties (COP16) meeting going on now in Cali, Colombia. 

Thousands of world leaders are gathered in South America for the biodiversity-themed meetings, the first major biodiversity summit since the 2022 adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).

Last week members of ISKCON, took part in the conference on Biological Diversity (COP15) to the United Nations (UN), being held in Montreal, Canada, December 7-19th. The conference’s goals are to discuss protection planning of the natural world by international governments and interested parties for the next decade.
