The Gift Prabhupada Project is an initiative undertaken by a group of devotees to gift a miniature (54 mm) brass murti of Srila Prabhupada, particularly to his direct disciples. Alloyed within the brass murti are coins donated for Srila Prabhupada’s books from each of the 25 countries he personally visited, symbolizing the global impact of his teachings.
The box enclosing the murti features a backdrop that includes fragments from the original jackfruit tree under which Srila Prabhupada was born in 1896. Designed by a 3D artist from the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, each aspect of the murti’s design has been thoughtfully incorporated to enrich the connection between Srila Prabhupada and his disciples.
The primary goal of The Gift Prabhupada Project is to touch the lives of Srila Prabhupada’s disciples, offering each of them the murti of their beloved guru. For these disciples, who have devoted their lives to service, a murti of Srila Prabhupada symbolizes far more than an ornament. It serves as a spiritual connection, reminding them daily of the teachings, guidance, and love they have received over the years. As these disciples approach their later years, the project brings them the joy of meeting their spiritual master once more — now in the form of a lifelike murti that deepens their meditation on Srila Prabhupada.
