only happens when we put our self in the center.
Otherwise if we see someone else prospering better than us, we are
happy. We are in ecstasy. Because we are thinking Krishna must very
much enjoy seeing this person being empowered in the spiritual
setting. This person is doing such wonderful service. Krishna is
enjoying seeing this person’s service. Why should I compare myself to
that person?

Hare Krsna dear devotees. Here is a very beautiful prayer so the mind can engage in the proper activities related to the Lord.
O my dear mind, in order to attain the direct service of Sri Sri Radha-Giridhari, who are always entranced by amorous desires, and the service of Their eternal associates, one should drink the pancamrita described by Srila Rupa Gosvamipada. This pancamrita is ambroasial nectar comprised by the following ingredients of service:
1) Arcana, worship of Sri Yugala
2) Sankirtana,
(Said to be composed by Lord Chaitanya)

In Bhagavad-gītā (4.11) it is said, ye yathā māḿ prapadyante tāḿs tathaiva bhajāmy aham: the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the supreme judge who rewards or punishes different persons according to their surrender unto His lotus feet. Therefore it can actually be seen that although karmīs and bhaktas may work in the same place, at the same time, with the same energy and with the same ambition, they achieve different results. The karmīs transmigra

it is recommended only for Kali-yuga. Actually, it is recommended for

consciousness movement. It is not simply for one age, or for one
country, or for one class o
In human society there are various activities performed for the protection of one's wealth and life by one's words, one's mind and one's actions, but they are all performed for one's personal or extended sense gratification with reference to the body. All these activities are baffled because of being separate from devotional service. But when the same activities are performed for the satisfaction of the Lord, the beneficial results are distributed
material desires inside. Just put them all inside, close the box and
in big capital letters write on that box: "My material desires!"
Tie it up nicely, put it on the shelf and then get busy in service to

is the day that I'm going to play with my material desires!"
And you take the old box of the shelf, you look inside the box, and
what do you see?

Just like a person is diseased. He is advised by the doctor that "You shall not take such and such things." So he is starving or he is fasting. Suppose in the typhoid fever the doctor has advised him not to take any solid food. So under the instruction of the doctor, he is not taking any solid food. But suppose his brother is eating some bread. Oh, he likes that "If I could eat." That means within himself he has got the tendency for eating. But out of fear that "If I eat, there will be very bad
They recrossed the rather sparse backyard and entered the small shop-front that had been a grocery store, at the fore of the semi-detached building next door to the temple. Mohanananda described to Srila Prabhupada how he

Practical devotion is the secret to understanding the Sastras. My Guru Maharaja used to say that for one who is not engaged in devotional service, reading all the books is simply like licking the outside of the honey jar. One who thinks the books are the thing is content in this way. But we should learn the secret to open the jar and taste the honey. In this way, if we can simply understand one book, or one sloka, the perfection is there.

I think many of the devotees will agree with me that they were ignorant of Yamuna's absence in Vrindavan. Whenever we visit Sri Vrindavan Dham we make sure to go for Vrindavan Parikrama. And as we pass through the stretch overlooking Yamuna we just walk on thinking about the bad condition she is in. But never thought of the solution for the problem.
One fine day I got a SMS that a rally is being organised by Bhaktivedanta Hospital Youth Forum at Girgaum Chowpatty and I thought of checking it out
CHANTING YOUR NAME IS THE ONLY REMEDY.........
THINKING OF YOU IS THE ONLY WAY............

Question: How to Attain Complete Surrender? |
||||
In order to taste pure love for Krishna we should surrender to Krishna completely. So can you tell me what is complete surrender and how to practice it in a simplified manner? |

Answer: Take Shelter of the Bona Fide Guru |

It's very simple. Complete surrender means to strictly abide by the instructions given by the Lord. This cannot be done by mental speculation. You have to be trained by someone who is fully conversant with the or |

Maharaja Kulasekhara king, a great devotee, is praying to Krsna, "Krsna, this is the opportune time. Now I am healthy. I am quite in good health so let me die immediately, thinking of You, because my whole purpose is to think of You, of Your pastimes, at the time of death. So generally, at the time of death, kapha-vata-pittaih, the whole system becomes disarranged. There are coughing, there are headache, there is some pain, this is general system. Sometimes they are so intolerable that the man
A devotee always accepts his distress as minimized by Gods Mercy; although he would have to suffer many more times the suffering. Any one who accepts this philosophy of Gods Mercy in suffering conditions, and still makes progress in Krishna Consciousness, it is said that he is sure to go back to Home, Back to Godhead.
