Greetings from Sridham Mayapur. The 2014 Gaura Purnima festival has begun and our thoughts and prayers for your well being are at the lotus feet of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu because you are a devotee and supporter of Srila Prabhupada's most ambitious project - the TOVP temple. This year is very special since it is the 10th anniversary of the installation of Pancha Tattva. There will be a maha abhishek performed on Mach 3rd which co
Question: What happens to an aspiring devotee who may have read Srila Prabhupada's books, heard his lectures, loves serving and associating with devotees but cannot find a spiritual master on the level of Srila Prabhupada? Srila Prabhupada has said that a disciple should accept a spiritual master as good as God and be ready to sacrifice his life to him. If such an aspiring devotee feels this way towards Srila Prabhupada but cannot find anyone who satisfy the "as good as God" requirement, is h

The vaidya has not proven satisfactory: he gave Prabhupada an overdose. Now, he switched to another type of medicine. As a result, Prabhupada did not take any medicine today. Instead, he called for his kaviraja. Srila Prabhupada asked me whether I was still arranging for his going, and I replied that we were doing so.
In a letter that arrived today, Panca-dravida Swami prayed for Srila Prabhupada's continued presence

A story as being told by a celibate monk (who happens to be my siksha guru) of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Ashram.
“Here is a nice story of a devotee whom I met in Ratnagiri. His name is Abhijeet Rane and he is studying in FAMT college of Engg, Ratnagiri. He gradually got introduced to Krsna consciousness and started chanting holy names but Sri Krsna decided to test him immediately. The test was in form of severe opposition f

Today, Surendra Kumar and his wife visited Srila Prabhupada. Also Rasa-lila devi and family arrived from Nairobi to stay in Vrndavana until Janmastami.
In a letter, Hari-sauri complained that Tusta Krsna and his group were publicly decrying our book distribution. Srila Prabhupada, being sorry to hear this, retorted, "Why are you doing this! They are selling books on my order. Why you are criticizing? That means you

Om ! O Devas, may we hear with our ears what is auspicious;
May we see with our eyes what is auspicious, O ye worthy of worship !
May we enjoy the term of life allotted by the Devas,
Praising them with our body and limbs steady !
May the glorious Indra bless us !
May the all-knowing Sun bless us !
May Garuda, the thunderbolt for evil, bless us !
May Brihaspati grant us well-being !
Om ! Let there be Peace in me !
Let there be Peace in my environment !

Om ! That (Brahman) is infinite, and this (universe) is infinite.
The infinite proceeds from the infinite.

It remains as the infinite (Brahman) alone.

Let there be Peace in my environment !
Let there be Peace in the forces that act on me !

A friend of mine has a beautiful daughter who is very young. By her innocent antics, she entertains all. Once she went in front of the picture of Radha and Krishna and reverentially folded her hands in front of the Lord. She stood there for few minutes. All of us were pleasantly amused, her mother was very excited. She embraced the little child and then said something which was although not shocking but saddening. Taking the little girl on the lap, she instructed her in a serious tone, “Always p
Treat the Holy Names as Radha and Krsna
It is materially inconceivable that God and His name are identical.
We can realize this truth by relating to (and treating) the holy names as Radha and Krsna.
All kinds of poor or offensive chanting stem from not properly relating to and honoring the holy names as Radha and Krsna.
Prabhupada wouldn’t walk over Krsna’s names because he saw the name as non different and respected the name this way.

Prabhupada: So our Krsna consciousness movement is to educate people to understand the value of life. The modern system of education and civilization is so degraded that people have forgotten the value of life. Generally, in this material world everyone is forgetful of the value of life, but the human form of life is a chance to awaken the importance of life.
