Boxing with the mind.

Boxers meet in a ring and fight each other for a set number of “rounds.” Each round lasts three minutes and each fight (called a “bout”) features up to twelve rounds.
As a round begins, an official rings a bell and the fighters come out of their corners, touch gloves, and then begin boxing. Artfully dancing about, jabbing at one another with their gloves, each fighter seeks to gain an advantage.
Often in a bout, one of the fighters wins by a “knockout” when he catches his challenger off guard a

Lord Krishna’s Renunciation.

2515170299?profile=original

Q: Since Lord Krishna is the actual beneficiary of our results, why is Krishna known to be a renounced person?
Romapada Swami: Krishna is known as Bhagavan, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The word Bhagavan is defined in the Visnu Purana by Parasara Muni as one who is full in all six opulences— full strength, fame, wealth, knowledge, beauty, and renunciation.
In BG 9.9-10, Krsna mentions that the material manifestation is created and annihilated merely by His Supreme will. In the purport Sr

He Whom all the Vedic hymns glorify and Whom all the devas worship and obey, the Supreme Lord of all, Parameswara, chose to descend in His most merciful and generous incarnation as Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1534). His divine appearance in the land of Navadvip had been predicted and celebrated throughout the Vedas, specially the Vedic histories, the Puranas.

Seeing the fallen nature of mankind, whose spiritual blindness kept increasing due to this dark age of quarrel, He descended out of His

Albert Einstein had the insight to observe that two things were infinite: [1] Human stupidity and [2] The cosmos. But he wasn’t too sure about the second one.

What in the solar system does schooling have to do with exalted arcane ‘facts’ such as the big-bang and evolution? Nothing at all really, but everything to do with sanity and the theft of knowledge.

There was one sagely looking fellow, a Mr. Darwin, who when analyzing the complexities of an eye, saw the absurdity of his own evolution theo

stock-vector-drunk-man-on-liquor-bottle-vector-247725643.jpg

Last week I happened to go for book distribution near a bus stand. It was not very crowded place. It was getting dark and thus fast food restaurants were getting filled with people. While I was holding books and roaming around, a middle aged, lean man, slightly drunkard approaches me and asks me in an impatient manner – where is the wine shop here? He was already too drunk to go to wine shop again but he was getting strength from his inner desire and that was fuelling him to h

HEARING OTHERS - is not easy.

Hearing others - is not easy

hearing.jpg

Speech is one of the most common method of communication. We like to talk, we like to put forward our thoughts, we like to share our internal dialogues. We like to be heard, we want people to pay attention to us. But when we are obsessed with the thought of being heard always then its very difficult for us to hear from others. Krishna Consciousness is more about hearing than speaking. Its about hearing Hari Kirtan, its about hearing Harikatha, Its about hearing othe

FEAR OF LOSING

FEAR OF LOSING

download.jpg
Have you ever noticed a bird eating the grains that are spread on street roads. Is it peacefully eating with its beaks ? No, it is in constant anxiety - anxiety of falling prey to someone, anxiety of losing its part of diet. It is continuously turning its head left and right, up and down to avoid the awful situation. Not only the bird and beasts, even we as human beings suffer from this ailment of being fearful.
We have the tendency to acquire something big and once we get that, we

Krishna's plans are ACCIDENTAL

Krishna's plans are ACCIDENTAL
Seemingly, same Saturday morning as usual but little different as he was going out with his family members to another devotee's house. That day on 05th Nov 2016, Krishna had some different plans for him and his family. He left his house at about 11.00 am in the morning in recently bought Hyundai i20 car and started driving through the heavy traffic area of Bangalore. Within an hour he found himself in the mess of a situation where his car was totally toppled, and

Marveling at Krsna’s genius

2515169960?profile=original

At this very moment I sit marveling at Krsna’s genius and kindness in designing and supplying the world with the Avocado (my favorite food).
The skin of the Avocado is a well-designed wrapper. It is tough, yet protective. It is fine, but easy to peel. The Avocado changes color from light, to dark green announcing that it is ripe.
The creamy “flesh” of the Avocado is an ideal food that contains at least thirteen essential vitamins, healthy fats – that reduce bad cholesterol, and life-sustaining

By Urmila Devi Dasi

A simple yet elegant way for each of us to yield to the loving desire of the Supreme Whole.

Surrender. Submission. Such words may conjure up images of war and aggression, where the weaker party regretfully yields to the stronger, possibly with thoughts of future victory or vengeance. With such images in mind, we may cringe when we read in the Bhagavad-gita that we must surrender to Krishna. And our qualms about surrender may increase when we see devotees exemplifying surren
