Bhagavad Darishanam the Tamil edition of the Back to Godhead has received an award for its outstanding performance in the magazine field.

On Monday, January 30th, 2012, All India Sivaji Fine Arts Club Society and Murumalarchi Arts Academy of Chennai jointly presented an award giving ceremony for outstanding personalities in various walks of life at the prestigious Kamarajar Arangam, Chennai.

Dr. Mayil Vahanan Natarajan the Vice-Chancellor of MGR Medical University, Mr. R.Kannan Adityan the director of Malai Murasu (a famous Tamil daily) were the main guests for the function orgazined by Mr. Sivaji Ramadass the secretary of the Murumalarchi Arts Academy.

About thirty recipents from various fields recieved the "Sivaji Award" (named after the famous Tamil movie actor) for their outstanding performances in their respective field. Many of them were from the Cinema field while the others were Bharatanatyam, Social Service, Natural health, Spirituality etc.

Bhagavad Darishanam the Tamil edition of Back to Godhead was also one of the recipient of the award for its performance in the magazine field. Sri Giridhari Dasa the editor of the magazine received the award from Mr. Kannan Adityan.

The less than two year old Bhagavad Darisanam which is committed to follow the directions of Srila Prabhupada for Back to Godhead has the circulation of over 18,000 copies per month.
