There is always a possibility to get pushy in any aspect of devotional service, from pushing people to buy a book to pushing people to chant or to advance through Siksa. It's an art how to encourage people without them feeling too pushed.
The Siksa Program is a tool and according to the experience and touch and tact of leaders and preachers it will be used in different ways.
Can the tool be used in a pushy way? Yes, of course. But the idea is to give people a step-by-step possibility to advance at their own space. Yet, if it is done in the mode of passion or ignorance- it could come through as imposing on people - which is a fact.
These are very nice certificates for an enrolled congregation. However, it should be noted that the Siksa program was designed for people to advance individually without criticism or competition. No one should feel pushed to force their spiritual advancement, as this engenders anxiety in spiritual growth. Each person, at their level, is serving Krishna and Shrila Prabhupada. A faithful Shraddhavan devotee is just as useful and potent as any other devotee in the Congregation.
nice! it will inspire Devotees in a competitor-ship mood. If materialistic people compete with each other for winning some money for themselves then Devotees will compete with each other who will better serve to Krishna, Guru and Devotees. :)
The Siksa program is a system for encouraging the congregation by recognizing their chanting and their spiritual standards. It is a great way to help congregational devotees to consolidate and increase their spiritual practices. It also offers a system to identify who is serious in advancing in Krishna consciousness, an important consideration especially in forming the first Bhakti-vriksha groups.
People who have started the Siksa Program, generally report a remarkable growth in the congregations enthusiasm and commitment.
