Selfless Service - The best Example

One of Lord Chaitanya's most wonderful pastime:

Each day after Mahaprabhu had accepted prasada at noon, Govinda (Mahaprabhu's personal secretary) would massage Him for a few minutes. After Gauranga had fallen asleep,Govinda would honour His maha-prasad remnants. But on the day of extended kirtana Gaurahari was so exhausted that on returning to His room He collapsed in the doorway. When asked to move slightly aside so that Govinda could enter to massage Him, Mahaprabhu replied, "I am too tired to move. Do whatever you like." So Govinda lay his top cloth over the lord's body, offered obeisances, crossed over Him, and begun massaging Him. Upon awaking from rest and seeing Govinda still sitting nearby, Gauranga somewhat angrily asked why he had not yet taken prasada. Govinda answered that he had not wanted to cross over the Lord's body. "So how did you come inside?" Mahaprabhu inquired. Govinda did not reply but simply thought, "For the sake of serving my master I may commit an offense and go to hell, yet for my own sense gratification I don't want to even dream of making the slighest shadow of an offense"
