As noted in an ISKCON News article in August the Origins 60th Anniversary Gala held by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness on July 31, 2026, at The Glasshouse in Manhattan. Roughly 500 guests attended the event, organized around the theme “Celebrating the Past, Envisioning the Future” to mark six decades since His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada founded ISKCON in New York in 1966.
The Gala opened a three-day Origins weekend, July 31 to August 2, that continued with a pilgrimage to sites connected with Srila Prabhupada’s early ministry, a sunset kirtan cruise, a youth musical, a public festival and a closing Love Feast.
A team led by Kumari Kunti Devi Dasi organized the Gala. Anantacharya Dasa produced the cultural program, while Goura Prema Riggan, known as Gauri Devi and director of Cirque de India, directed it with her partner, writer and narrator Vasu Dudakia.
Speakers included Archbishop Felix Machado, Archbishop Emeritus of Vasai and former undersecretary of the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue; Radhanath Swami; actress and Lok Sabha member Hema Malini; and India’s Consul General in New York, Binaya Srikanta Pradhan. Guests included representatives of Catholic, Jewish, Buddhist and Latter-day Saint communities, public officials, religious freedom advocates and philanthropists.
