The ISKCON Environmental Initiative (IEI) marked Earth Day 2025 with an engaging webinar that highlighted devotee-led initiatives that underscored the importance of local action in driving global change.
The online gathering with devotees from around the world was part of the IEI Seminar Series: “Divinity and the Environment,” and spotlighted practical, faith-based solutions to environmental challenges, both within ISKCON communities and in their broader engagement with other organizations.
The thoughtful conversation with two dynamic Vaishnavis, Ananda Vrindavana Dasi, Temple President of ISKCON of DC (Potomac, Maryland), and Murari Mohini Dasi, Director of Mayapur Clean and Green (Mayapur, India), was both inspiring and heartfelt. Ananda Vrindavan Dasi shared a wide range of efforts at ISKCON of DC, from their solar panels to expanding composting efforts and even two bio-ponds on the property. Murari Mohini Dasi’s courageous efforts in Sri Mayapur Dham, despite numerous obstacles, touched many participants, even bringing some to tears.
The webinar was hosted by Anuttama Dasa, Co-Director of IEI’s Green Team. He was joined by Kamala Priya Devi Dasi, the European coordinator for the IEI, and Parama Sundar Dasa, the North American coordinator for the IEI. To watch and share the full webinar, click here.
