More than 110 youths and devotees gathered at Eagle Ranch Resort in Port Dickson, Malaysia, from May 29 to June 1, 2026, for ISKCON Kuala Lumpur’s 7th Annual Youth Retreat. Organized by the ISKCON Kuala Lumpur Youth Department under the leadership of Rasa Parayana Das and Rati Gopika Devi Dasi, the four-day retreat centered on the theme “Stronger Inside,” encouraging participants to cultivate inner strength through Krishna consciousness.
The retreat sought to address a question many young people face today: “Where does genuine inner resilience come from?” Through devotional practices, spiritual discussions, outdoor activities, and the association of senior devotees, participants explored how faith in Krishna, steady spiritual practice, and service can help them navigate the challenges of modern life.
Youths traveled from various parts of Malaysia, including Penang, Bahau, and Teluk Intan, as well as from Bali and Australia, joining local devotees from Kuala Lumpur. Set amidst nature and close to the sea, the retreat venue provided an ideal environment for reflection, learning, and recreation.
The program opened with interactive ice-breaking sessions led by Sudarshan Das and Kaumodaki Devi Dasi, followed by enthusiastic kirtan and prasadam. Outdoor activities throughout the retreat encouraged teamwork and leadership. One highlight was a sea-rafting challenge in which participants built rafts using bamboo and ropes before navigating the water to complete a team mission. An obstacle course and a wet telematch further reinforced lessons in cooperation, perseverance, and mutual support.
