A Short Documentary
When the earth trembled in Bogo, Cebu, homes crumbled and thousands were left struggling to survive. Yet in the midst of devastation, the spirit of Bayanihan arose.
Inspired by the compassionate call to action of Governor Pamela Baricuatro, the devotees of ISKCON Cebu Philippines and ISKCON Food For Life Philippines joined hands with volunteers, local officials, and generous donors to respond swiftly to the needs of the people of Northern Cebu.
Through this collective effort, over 2,200 hot, plant-based, nutrient-dense bowls of sanctified food (prasadam) were lovingly distributed to the victims of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that struck on September 30, 2025, and to those affected by the subsequent 5.8 quake on October 13, 2025 — along with over 10,000 aftershocks that shook the province in just two weeks.
Our humble ISKCON Farm Community in Bogo, located near the epicenter, was also affected — yet it became the beating heart of the relief operations, transforming pain into purpose and service. From its small kitchen came warm meals, prayers, and hope — all offered in devotion to the Supreme Lord.
Today, as Bogo and the rest of Northern Cebu continue to rebuild their homes, livelihoods, and lives, we remain steadfast in our mission to nourish both body and soul through Krishna’s mercy — one bowl at a time.
To our dear donors, supporters, and the Government of Cebu — thank you. Your kindness, trust, and cooperation made this service possible.
