Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, offered seva alongside the successful prasadam distribution partnership with ISKCON at the Maha Kumbh Mela being held in Prayagraj, India. The collaboration combines ISKCON’s spiritual mission with the Adani Group’s logistical capabilities to distribute 100,000 meals daily during the 45-day festival. Using the famous Mega Kitchen, with its base at Govardhan Eco Village, 2,500 volunteers distribute the prasadam to dozens of locations throughout the religious gathering.
At the meeting announcing the collaboration, Gautam Adani expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve at such a sacred event, stating, “Kumbha is a sacred place of seva, where every devotee participates in the name of seva to God. Seva is meditation, seva is prayer, and seva is God.”
Additionally, in collaboration with Gita Press, 500,000 copies of Geeta Saar, a summary collection of verses from the Bhagavad-gita, will be distributed, offering spiritual guidance alongside prasadam. Other book distribution efforts at the event are sharing thousands of full copies of the Bhagavad-gita As-It-Is.
Devotees were delighted to welcome Mr. Adani and his wife to the ISKCON temple at the camp where he worshipped Lord Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra and offered a garland to Srila Prabhupada’s murti. The camp includes life-sized dioramas of the Gajendra Moksha lila, Vrindavana lila, Lord Ramacandra, Hanumani Ji, and more. Thousands are also receiving the darshan of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai deities carried throughout the crowds on ISKCON’s All India Padayatra Bullock Cart.
