This spring, Dublin Kirtan Mela returns to continue a local tradition of non-stop kirtan, prasadam, and sanga. On Saturday, 31st May, devotees and guests from all over Ireland and beyond will gather at the Gospel Hall & Chapel of Ease, Irishtown, Dublin 4, to immerse themselves in the sound vibration of the Maha-mantra.

What began in 2017 as a humble response to a simple desire—to deepen our chanting and bring the community together- has become an annual celebration of the Holy Name.

What Makes This Mela Special?

At its core, the Dublin Kirtan Mela is about seva, a collective act of devotion where we come together to serve the Holy Name in the spirit of Lord Caitanya’s timeless instruction: “Kirtaniyaḥ sada hariḥ – Always chant the names of Hari.”

It’s a day where the Holy Name takes center stage, just kirtan offered in sincerity, collectively, with the hope that even for one day, we can chant purely, selflessly, and together.

A core inspiration for the Dublin Kirtan Mela has been the teachings and example of Sacinandana Swami, whose profound approach to Kirtan emphasizes surrender, humility, and dedication over everything else. His words and example have been a constant guide for many of the organisers and Kirtaniyas who will join us on the day.

This year, we are honoured to have Dhirasanta Dasa Goswami, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, to bring forth the spirit and mood of our Founder-Acarya in Kirtan and anchor us in the humility of real bhakti.
