Bhakti-sastri course is a systematic study of Srila Prabhupada's books.
Srila Prabhupada wanted all of us to deeply study his books, so that we
could be better preachers, teachers and have a clear understanding of the
beautiful science of devotional service. Sri Vrindavan Dham provides a
unique environment to enhance one's taste and appreciation of our culture.
This year the English Bhakti-sastri course in Vrindavan is scheduled to take
place from July 12 to October 30.
As was Srila Prabhupada's desire, "Introduction to Deity Worship" is added
to the curriculum.
Requirements for the course: Good sadhana, brahminical tendencies, voluntary
service, proficiency in English and a recommendation/character sketch from a
senior devotee who knows you well. Assessment criteria include attendance
and personal conduct.
Assessment : Essays and closed book exams
Contribution to the running costs of the course : Rs. 9,000/-. Lunch
prasadam is served in the VIHE, sponsored by the alumni students and other
well-wishers. A few scholarships are available.
Admissions close on : June 15, 2009.
