The Bhadra Campaign, an effort to spread the nectar of the Srimad Bhagavatam, was launched on March 15 and lasts through September 7. As Bhadra Purnima, a very auspicious full moon day and the end of the Bhadra Campaign, approaches, the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) is launching a new arts contest for all devotees around the world to creatively express their love and devotion to Srila Prabhupada through art, video, or poetry.
Participants will create an art piece based on a chosen phrase that reflects the spirit of the Bhadra Campaign and Srila Prabhupada’s teachings. Art pieces must be original and created specifically for this contest. The contest starts on August 10th and ends on August 22nd, and winners will be announced on August 25th.
They can choose from the following phrases:
- Not a fancy formula—just guts and grit
- leave everything on the field
- What’s illegal is keeping a list of why it can’t be done.
- It’s not about the obstacles but our will to overcome them
- Even if we lose, we went for the top
You can watch Vaisesika Dasa using all of these phrases to inspire book distribution here.
All art should be submitted via email to info@bbtbooks.org and in a specified format (e.g., .pdf, .mp4, .jpeg). Participants will be judged on their artwork’s creativity and originality, relevance to the theme and Srila Prabhupada’s teachings, and artistic merit and emotional impact. The prizes for the top three winners will be recognition, certificates, a $25 coupon to our Redbubble store to buy your own BBT merch, and selected artwork will be showcased on social media or websites.
Please promote this contest on social media platforms using the hashtag #bhadraarts and share it in devotee groups and forums.
