On December 18th, 2025, ISKCON Kudupu katte, Mangalore, was invited to represent Sanatan Dharma at an interfaith dialogue organized by St. Aloysius (Deemed To Be University) in Mangalore.
The program was held as part of the university’s Christmas celebrations with the theme of World Peace. Adikeshav Das (Dr. Ashok Shetty), who serves as the Director of Community Welfare and Health at ISKCON Govardhan EcoVillage (GEV) and as a trustee at Mumbai’s Bhaktivedanta Hospital, represented ISKCON during the event. He spoke about how the essential teachings of all Vedic literatures is to humbly surrender to the Supreme Personality of Godhead through loving devotional service. He quoted quoted Srimad Bhagavatam,
“The supreme occupation [dharma] for all humanity is that by which men can attain to loving devotional service unto the transcendent Lord. Such devotional service must be unmotivated and uninterrupted to completely satisfy the self” (1.2.6).
He also shared a well-known verse from the Sri Caitanya-caritamrta,
“One who thinks himself lower than the grass, who is more tolerant than a tree, and who does not expect personal honor yet is always prepared to give all respect to others can very easily always chant the holy name of the Lord” (Adi-lila 17.31). He further explained the real meaning of humility and how humility helps us to remember the Supreme Lord eternally.”
