Question: Why God Doesn't Force Us to Be Good? |
||||
I firmly believe that God is everywhere and that without Him we cannot do anything. He will just show us two paths in life: good and bad and leave the choice to us. It is we who decide which one to take for the rest of our life. Even when we take the wrong path, why does not He prevent us at the very first time? |

doesn't matter. As Caitanya Mahaprabhu certified the illiterate
brahmana who was reading Bhagavad-gita in Ranganatha temple.
The brahmana was illiterate. His guru ordered him that "You read
Bhagavad-gita daily, eighteen chapters." So he could not refuse the
order of guru maharaja; so he was taking the book and simply seeing.
So those who knew that he was illiterate, they were criticizing,

Prabhupada was a bit surprised "Achha?" Then he said that previously the government was capturing the monkeys in Vrndavana and selling them at a good price for medical purposes in Europe, until people protested. "The monkey's hormone is injected or replaced so one regains his sex power," he said. "They are very sexually strong."

We have often given the example of the good dog and the bad dog. Krishna tells in Bhagavad Gita that there is a divine nature and there is a demonic nature in all of us. The good dog is humility, charity, knowledge of the self, compassion, morality,generosity, etc. And the bad dog is greed, lust, envy, anger,arrogance, selfishness, etc. We have both dogs within us and they areboth howling for food. What is the food? The decision we make of whichvoice within the mind we are going to accommodate.
We often mistake temporary pleasures of this world to be love. This mistaking of temporary sensations of the world lies at the very core of human conditioning. These flickering sensations are like a mirage. A person who is in the desert is searching desperately for an oasis ofwater. And in that desperation, due tolonging and hopefulness, sometimes a mirage appears. It appears thatthat mirage can quench his/her thirst, but all he/she gets is amouthful of hot sand.
So what is real love? In order to

"Although God has no parents as He is eternal and is the father of everyone, yet He can agree to become someone's child - have a little baby form and a devotee to serve Him as a parent. As a parent, the parents think that they are bigger than the child.
The parents always want to protect the child. Even though Krishna is the Supreme protector of everyone. His parents always think, "I have to protect Krishna. If I don't protect Krishna, some danger will befall Krishna."

Sometimes, Krsna used to perform the rasa dance here with Radhaji and Her friends.
After Sri Krsna's departure to Mathura, all of Vraja drowned in an ocean of seperation from Him. What to speak of the gopas and gopis, even the birds and animals gave up eating and drinking, feeling distressed in seperation from Krsna. Krsna's beloved gopis followed Akrura's chariot to this point and then fell to the ground unconscious. They

1. As He walked down the King’s road, Lord Madhava then saw a young hunchback woman with an attractive face, who carried a tray of fragrant ointments as she walked along. The bestower of the ecstasy of love smiled and inquired from her as follows.
2. [Lord Krsna said:] Who are you, O beautiful-thighed one? Ah, ointment! Who is it for, my dear lady? Please tell Us truthfully. Give Us both some of y
