Navadwip Mandal Parikrama- Day 3 10th March 2011
Today is the 3rd day of the Navadvip Mandala Parikrama. Our first group to be visited today was the International party in Naimisharanya. When we were about to go out from the Lotus Building through the exit of Caitanya exhibition Hall,we heard the beautiful greeting kirtan for Their Lordship Sri Panca Tattva'Sri Krsna Caitanya Prabhu doya kore moreeee....' was going on in the temple hall. Guru Maharaja told us to wheel him down towards the temple
The land of the rising Sun, Japan, witnessed an ultimate slaughter by earth and water. It is most shocking to see nature's way of showing it's fury. Even a highly ranked country like Japan was reeling under its wrath.
This is most unfortunate and we pray to the Lord that they their souls may find Krishna soon.
How do the devotees view such disasters.

Hare Krishna!
This is a very inspiring story of a simple young devotee boy from Mumbai, who is in the verge of leaving his body at Bhaktivedanta Hospital.
Anoop Banerjee, born in 1st June 1983, is from a Bengali Family. He has lived most of his life in Jogeshwari, a western suburb in Mumbai. His family (members) are not ISKCON devotees or followers, but have a favourable disposition.

When you are genuinely curious about the way someone reacts or the way they feel about something, it’s unlikely that you will be annoyed.
When you are interested in other perspectives, it doesn’t imply, e

Question: Are Indian Gurus Superior? |

There are some devotees in ISKCON saying that the Indian gurus are more bona fide than the Western gurus. So can you please give some sastric proof that this is not a correct statement? |

Answer: Hell's Residents Make Such Distinctions |

Anyone who judges the authenticity of a spiritual master based of his body type has a hellish, racist mentality and is completely unqualified to understand who is a bona fide spiri |
Two workers were approached by a reporter. The reporter asked the first worker, “What are you doing?” His response was to complain that he was virtually a slave, an underpaid bricklayer who spent his days wasting his time, placing bricks on top of one another.
The reporter asked the second worker the same question. His response, however, was quite different. “I’m the luckiest person in the world,” he said. “I get to be a part of important and beautiful pi

The breathing exercise of the yoga system that is generally practiced is just the beginning of the system. Meditation on the Supersoul is just a step forward. Achievement of wonderful material success is also only a step forward. But to attain direct contact with the Supersoul and to take dictation from Him is the highest perfectional stage.
The breathing exercises and meditational practices of yoga are very difficult in this age. They were difficult even five thousand years a

On the first day of the 2011 sankirtan seminars in Mayapur, Navina Nirada Prabhu related a nice story about a Russian sankirtan devotee. While distributing books he met another devotee distributing, so he asked him, "Which temple are you from?"The other devotee asked, "Temples? There are temples?"
It turned out that the young man had received a book from someone and had become very inspired by reading it. And when he read in the book how important it is that this knowledge be distributed to othe
As we all know, Prabhupada gave a lot of emphasis to book production and distribution. Before '75 most of our books were being imported, but then westarted our own book production around June of '75. So we had arranged...we had a member called Mr. Gupta, I believe, he had a very big bookstore in downtown at Floral(?) Fountain. So we had arranged a very big book display for Srila Prabhupada's books. We had Prabhupada's books in the shop in thewindow, we had a rack with Prabhupada's books, we had

I first learned of Srila Prabhupada's plan for a "heaven on earth" in Vrndavana, India in May of 1970. Vrndavana is the birthplace of Lord Krsna, which lies some ninety miles southeast of Delhi. I was in Delhi when Srila Prabhupada wrote me a letter explaining his plan. He asked me to investigate a report that the king of Bharatpur wanted to give us one of his many Vrndavana
