We worship our Deities on calander through out the year

and leave them alone under a pipal tree

Just because new year has come......

We worship our Deities through out our life

and leave them alone under a pipal tree

Just because it need some repairs...........

It reminds me that my parents didn't abandon me

Just because I got my leg fractured.

They took extra care to revive me

Talked more with me to forget the pain.

I scrolled through my old snaps

Every year my personality diminished

Vedanta means the ultimate goal of knowledge. Formerly there was only one Vedic literature, known as the Atharva-veda. In the Atharva-veda Krsna's name is mentioned, and He is described as the son of Devaki. Srila Jiva Gosvami has quoted fromAtharva-veda in his commentary on Brahma-samhita. Atharva-veda is the original Veda.

Kali-yuga is considered to be very contaminated, for three fourths of the population is impious i

Material life means everyone is trying to become victorious in the struggle of existence without God consciousness. That is our material disease. Krsna-bahirmukha hana bhoga vancha kare. We may revolt. That independence we have got, little independence, and we can misuse it, that "Why shall I serve Krsna? Let me serve myself." "Let me serve myself" means "Let me serve my different propensities, kama, krodha, lobha, moha, matsarya," like that. My independence means "I will not serve God; I will s

So, I would like to welcome everyone to our 1st book distribution seminar. Tomorrow the seminar will not be here, because we will have the book distribution award ceremony in the main tent. There will be three sannyasis speaking their realizations about book distribution, and there will be awards given out to book distributors.

One thing I wanted to discuss is the importance of book distribution. I am curr

So similarly, originally we are all pure, Krsna conscious, but as we have got little independence... Because we are part and parcel of God, therefore -- God has got full independence -- so we have got independence according to the quantity. Just like a small drop of ocean water has got a little quantity of salt also, similarly, we are anu, and God is vibhu; He is Prabhu, and we are servant; He is master, we are servant. The master has got independence, and the servant has also independence, not

We generally begin a work with great enthusiasm but soon the enthusiasm wanes. Boredom and monotony penetrates. We fret and often regret that why did we take this task. And most often we complete the task unwillingly. We are not physically so much drained out than mentally. However Bhagavad – gita gives us a technique which can help us to perform a particular task with great enthusiasm and energy. And one can even work for 24hrs a day without even getting tired.

If we imbibe the principles of yog

Rollerblading Sells Books

by Ananta Nitai Das (Ireland)

A funny incident happened on Grafton Street in Dublin. Two girls were rollerblading near the local park. I rode up near them on my bike and started talking to them. They stopped. Eva was very favorable and took two books for herself and her friend Sinead "The Higher Taste" and "The Science of Self-realization." I found it easy to get Eva to chant, and soon she and I started chanting Hare Krsna together, as Sinead looked on glumly.

So from within and from without, Krsna is ready to help us provided we become little anxious. Sraddha. To create this sraddha, little faith, we are trying to open these branches all over the world, and people who are taking advantage of this..., little inclination will help. But there must be inclination. We are not dull stone that we have no power. We have got little power. That little independence is there because we are part and parcel of Krsna. Krsna is fully independent, and we, being minut

There is a misconception that the Krsna consciousness movement represents Hinduism. Krsna consciousness is in no way a faith or religion that seeks to defeat other faiths or religions. Rather, it is an essential cultural movement for the entire human society and does not consider any particular sectarian faith. This cultural movement is especially meant to educate people in how they can love God.

Sometimes Indians both inside and outside of India think that we are preaching the Hindu religion, bu

OBJECTION: In your arguments you have mostly quoted purana-vakya (quotes from Puranic texts) to substantiate your points. However, this is unacceptable. The Vedas are eternal as they emanate from the Lord Himself (apaurusaya), whereas the Puranas and smrti-sastras, although they give knowledge about God, are authored by men. They are auxiliary to the Vedas and hence their statements should be considered as secondary when compared to the statements made in the Vedas. Therefore, in order to valida
