Honouring Srimati Yamuna Devi Dasi

In honour of Srimati Yamuna Devi Dasi on her first disappearance anniversary her samadhi was established here in Sri Vrindavan Dham at the Bhaktivedanta Swami Goshala gardens and her sacred ashes were immersed into the Yamuna river at Kesi Ghat. The fuction was held over 2 days and attended by many senior devotees and residents of the Saranagati community in Cananda. Today many of the so called scholars often ridicule the Vedic literatures and claim that they denigrate women. In fact these days it has become a fashion to deride the Vedic literatures to champion ones modern outlook. Timeless Vedic literatures have always held high regard for women.

Below are quotes from the scriptures, it can help us to understand Vedic perspective on women.

• A Woman must be honored and adorned by their fathers, brothers, husbands, and brothers in law, who desire their own welf

Today before you think of saying an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Today before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Today before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Today before whining about the

And if we do not know, we do not execute in that way -- that means Krs

Mine was a typical Arranged marriage... My parents found a well educated and well settled match for me, and for them the reason that I want to marry a devotee was not "practical enough" to say no to this marriage. After marriage I discovered that my husband loves eating non-veg food, drinks alcohol quite frequently, smokes occasionally and is agnostic spiritually. These were certainly not the qualities I had ever imagined my life partner would have. I felt quite helpless and didn't know what to

I Want to be Happy as You

I remember when my ex-husband cheated me and threw me out of my own house on the street, and sold it by evil, I was completely lonely. Nobody wanted to speak to me, even friends and relatives, nobody could help, understand. I was so afraid alone. But because I already knew Krishna, I prayed to Him. Only doing sankirtana from morning to evening I could maintain myself and be happy. My calamity was so big that only sankirtana leaded by Lord Caitanya could pacify me and hel

Closing a year of ecstatic preaching and opening a new one is very exciting. More opportunities to serve the sweet lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada and Krsna.

This year I am hoping for more volunteers to correspond with the many inmates reaching out for support and guidance. Below is some more nectar from the inmates as well as an overview of the activities of IPM in 2012.

Well in my experience Lord Krishna’s “arm” is much longer than the law, and He has extended it through His beloved representative Srila Prabhupada, and Srila Prabhupada’s faithful servants, to reach out to devotees in every c
