    Name / Initiated name

    Andrew

Daily number of rounds of Hare Krishna mahamantra.

    16

When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

A public library had a copy of Bhagavad Gita As It is and one section of the Srimad Bhagavatum and subsequently the Boston ISCKON temple in the early nineteen eighties , as I have now read through every word of the Bhagavad Gita As It Is , the Srimad Bhagavatum first volume , and now am reading through the Sri Chaitanya Charitamrta , am up to Adi 10 , my understanding has entirely been renewed , and my chanting of the maha mantra and invoking the assistance of the pancha tattva

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

Boston Temple , but I do not know any of the devotees there on a personal level , but I had spoken briefly to one teacher there who apparently works and lives outside the Temple, has a family , and attended theological school in Cambridge MA during the early years of ISKCON , but I want to know them now but the plague has of course stopped all visits ,

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

Devoted by the power of the Godhead to a life of spiritual advancement in those about me and in myself , to austerity and to study, to private and public chanting and meditation upon the scriptures , a vegan of many years , financially independent seeking to live fully in Krsna consciousness

What are your expectations from this community?

to meet other like minded souls anywhere globally , devotees of the Boston Temple and in the Boston region , to answer questions of doctrine and practice , and , when the plague passes , to meet for kirtana

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

really anything I can do as service to Krishna's devotees is the most auspicious service to Sri Krsna Himself , I would love to come and chant with those who are terminally ill , assist in the start up of a new temple or farm community , do errands or any tasks at the Boston Temple or for local devotees , purchase books for devotees who cannot afford them etc
