    Hare Krishna! How are you doing prabhu? No news for a long time. Wondering whats happening over thee in Udupi. Exams were over on Thursday and I have started the marking already.     All glories to Srila Prabhupad! Thank you for your msg. Very happy to hear from you once again. Sure you can write to me anytime. Exams started here last Monday and will be on till Thursday next. I am currently involved in invigilating. A new set of students have also arrived. So its kind of an overlap. Although I will be busy but surely I will make time for you. My engagement in work is not going to help me spiritually. But writing to you I benefit spiritually as I begin and end each message with the holy names. So your association is good for my soul.

    How was your new year celebrations? It was quiet affair here. The weather is unberably hot and I believe it must be the same for you there as well.

I am not in a position to give you a complete reply. This msg merely serves as an acknowledgement as well as an interim reply. I am really tired and the stress level is increasing.     All glories to Srila Prabhupad! All glories to Gaura Nitai! Sorry for the delay. I ws busy with work that I completely forgot about your pending reply. Yes its always nice to receive news from devotees. It sort of recharges my spiritual batteries. Reinforces my faith in sadhu sanga. Unfortunately you would have noticed that not all the devotees in this site share this culture. They send a friend request and get accepted and then no news after that. I have stopped seeking friends here as its of no long term benefit in spiritual association. But I have found you and afew others who are committed and that suffices for me.

    Curiously prabhu why do you start class so early in the morning?5.45am! Do you know in my college class begins at 9am and the students still can come late. Very bad attitude! I still want to serve in a gurukula environment. There is great committment between the teachers and learners. Real culture of learning is there.

    Book distribtuion is probably going on I suppose in the various centres. I hardly go due to time limitations and the politics. Yes I have seen the booth in the Udupi Krishna temple. I have also seen one devotee who brings his car and displays books in the car's boot section. Very dedicated person who stands there under the soaring heat. May Udupi Sri Krishna bless these selfless devotees with unconditional pure bhakti. Good that you are doing your bit as well. So how are things in the little ISKCON centre in Udupi? Do you still frequent it? How was Gaura Purnima? Mine was a quiet affair as it was a working day. I did something simple at home.

    Well I know that as I key these words your exams would have started which leaves you less time to respond. I am a teacher, I know. Pls keep in touch when time permits but dont stay away far too long. I miss devotee association and long for it. Have a wonderful time in Tirupathi. Haribol!

    Hare Krishna! All glories to Srila Prabhupad! Thank you for your recent reply. I am very happy to be in your association once more.

    Yes its always not easy to complete syllabuses. Depends alot on the subject, the time frames and of course the capabilities of the learners. Currently its exam season for us here and I am involved actively in invigillations. This is something I dislike most about my job which is playing security guard. The college's year end break begins from 19 Dec to 31 Dec. New sem begins on 1 Jan 09. I have not made any plans for the holidays. Sorry to hear of your cancellation to Vrindavan Maybe its just not the right time for you. Maybe Gaura Purnima would be ideal.

    Its indeed disheartening to hear of the problems faced by the small centre in Udupi. When I was there last year there was not a single soul in sight. I believe the temple presidet who was in his office at that time did not even come out. So I just paid my obeisances to Jaganath and left a donation. I believe its the same person that you have mentioned. One of the main reasons why ISKCON is in such a state is due to mismanagement at all levels. The top protecting the bottom and vice versa. It will not be good for the future of the movement. Anyway one has to realise that ones self realization and growth does not depend on this elite few but on the strength of our sadhanas and the mercy of the Lord and His pure reps.
