When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
1980s. By a devotee whose name I cant remember
Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.
My last visit to an Iskcon temple was the one in Udupi in 2007.
Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.
Struggling to become a devotee.

It was nice to go through your message.
I am not teaching in any school or college. I run my own coaching classes. I teach Mathematics and Physics to Class XII (also known as II PUC) students. Its a very interesting profession and I also get a chance to interact with the students and discuss Krishna Consciousness. Its amazing to know that students do show a lot of interest in hearing about the philosophy of KC. But unfortunately they do not get enough encouragement from their parents to take up Krishna Consciousness on a serious note - the reason being that Class XII examination is that which will get them into a good university to pursue either engineering course or medical profession.
Regarding the farm community - No! its not the one that you have mentioned. What you had visited is the Lord Balarama Temple near a place called Vodapandeshwar next to the Malpe beach.
This farm community that I mentioned is near a town called Hebri. Its about 30 Km north east of Udupi. There are a few devotees who are managing the farms and the cows. Its a quiet and a nice place to visit.
Maybe the next time you visit South India, you could make a trip to Hebri. Ofcourse the best time to visit would be late December to January upto February.

It was nice of you to send me a message.
Oh Yes, I am now residing at Udupi since 1989. I stay a couple of km from the Uudpi temple... and yes its my great fortune to be residing at a holy dham but people staying in udupi don't realise the greatness of udupi kshetra. We have a small iskcon centre very close to the temple and there are about - maybe 50 to 60 congregational members. There is also a small farm community 30 km from Uudpi started by His Holiness Bhakti Raghav Swami Maharaj and its really a beautiful place - quite away from the city. This farm project at a place called Hebri (30km from udupi) will be offerring training in Varnasharam dharma. H.H. Bhakti Raghav Swami Maharaj was based in Indonesia from the year 2001 ot 2004 and Maharaj helped to develop and oversee six rural communities in Indonesia.
Is there any farm community in and around where you stay ?
