When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I heard about Hare Krsna movement long ago when i was in univeristy however I guess I was not qualified enough to get association of the devotees and the mercy. In 2014 August, three weeks prior to Janmashtami, I was off sick with depression and anxiety and it was some inner calling that I insisted to my husband that I have heard there is an ISKCON temple in Canberra which we had never visited after being in Australia/Canberra for 6 years. Unaware of the program, we went to the temple at the time of the Bhagavad Gita class which also happened to be on a sunday. Had lovely prasadam and ever since grown in love with the tremendous magical presence of the dieties Lordships and inspired by the association of some great vaishnava devotees today regularly chanting my rounds and aspiring to be initiated one day.

Although new to KC, I have felt that intense calling and greed inside me. ever since I have started associating with the movement, my life has changed for good, i see everything as the sweet will of Krishna and cannot be seperated form my dieties and the Hare Krsna Ashram even for a moment. I am aspiring to take initiation when i qualify.

What are your expectations from this community?

None as such. Just want to be a part of this great community of Krishna's own people. Krishna willing, I long for Association, advice, feedback and learning to be a better devotee.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I can assist with anything that I can do by being in Canberra. Krsna's grace, I have editing experience and can write articles reasonably well. Also interested in book distribution and Srila Prabhupuda service.
