When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I came in contact with ISKCON in 2010 when I became Life Member in Durgapur, West Bengal. But I became serious when I moved to Oman. My self and my wife came in contact with ISKCON devotees in 2012 in Sohar. We started attending regularly Mangala Arati and other Vaishnava Seva functions.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

I visit Mayapur frequently. Here in Oman we do not have any ISKCON temple, but at a centre place we conduct Mangala Arati on every Friday. Our Siksha Gurus are: Rupa Chaaitanya Prabhu and Baladayani Mataji from Muscat. Other Senior members from Sohar: Madan Mohan Prabhu, Ram rajeswar Prabhu, Atulya Damodar Prabhu etc.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

Though I heard of ISKCON for quite some time, with the insistence of some devotees I became Life Patron in the year 2010. Not serious. We moved from Durgapur (West Bengal) to Oman to join a steel company- Jidal Shadeed Iron & Steel in Sohar in January 2011. There we came in touch with some senior devotees and started attending programs from 2012 on wards. Later on we became serious and started chanting Hare Krishna Mahamantra. Finally on 31st December 2013 we (Myself and my wife- Satyavathi) took 1st initiation from Srila Jaya Pathaka Swamy Guru Maharaj. My both the daughters have also stated following chanting of Maha Mantra. Elder daughter- Madhavi- got married and stays in USA and is blessed with a daughter. Younger daughter- Sita Tejaswi- completed her MBBS and pursuing internship in Kakinada. My Younger brother and his wife are also in the path of krishna conciousness and ar chanting Mahamantra. They stay in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. My spiritual Name is Mahavadanyaya Chatanya Das. Spiritual name of my wife Satyavathi: Satyavathi Yasoda Devi Dasi

What are your expectations from this community?

I would like to be imparted knowledge about Krishna so that I can become a true devotee and spread Krishna conciousness. We would also like to distribute as many Srila Prabhupada's books so that the promises given our Gurumaharaj during Initiation time can be fulfilled.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

After going from Oman to our home place- Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, India- we would like to do preaching and spreading Krishna Conciousness there.
