I sing the mahamantra probably 1/4 of the day I'm awake I have it playing near me and around the house on speakers all day to remind me of Krishna and fill my home with his love

When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I saw Kali Ma on a cartoon and a few years later a friend of mine mentioned she also worshiped her. So I started to look up other Hindu Deities online. I saw Krishna's name in a list of deities and never clicked on it. However after a traumatic event his name kept popping into my head so I started researching him and his company helped me through the event and also has been helping me heal after.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

The Boston temple would be the nearest. I have bad eyesight so driving is not possible for now. I am not friends with anyone in the physical world who worships Krishna.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

My friends would describe me as extremely intelligent and sincere. I feel if I cannot make someone giggle at least once in a day I have not completed the day. I could be described as a goof ball who likes to laugh and make others laugh. I am a cancer rising so I'm very caring of others. I have been to college however I could not decide on a major so I kept changing my major because so many areas of study fascinated me. I lost financial aid because of the indecision but on the plus side I know a little of a lot of things. I am a singing instructor and I make even my more serious students giggle. I am an artist, pianist, and I have been dancing since I figured out how to use my legs. (I dance very well)

What are your expectations from this community?

I need to meet peers who also worship Krishna. I have tried finding friendship making websites however most of those websites have too much focus on facial symmetry and sex. I have not found any social networking websites were Krishna is the focus. I found many Christian websites which are also lovely but I feel like the form of Krishna God has taken sings the best with my heart and finding others to learn from and worship with would probably make me smile every day. I don't expect to agree with everyone but I want to find Krishna in as many places as I can find him. He's inside of me and everywhere and everything I see hear and touch. However I feel like I'm on an island here. Thank you for access to this website.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I'm a trained vocal coach. I could teach devotees singing lessons. I could also record and send out devotional music to help others with prayer. I was also a peer mentor for a website called teenhelp.org for a while. I assisted on their live chat program. Most of that was helping at risk teens learn alternatives to self harm and giving them emotional support. I don't anticipate that this website has that kind of need however a lot of the people I worked with just needed a stranger to tell them they are valuable and that God loves them. I am saying I could offer peer support and music. I also really love to draw pictures of Krishna.
