Sweet Potato Kheer

Ingredients

  • Grated sweet potatoes (ratale) - 1 cup
  • Sugar - ¼ cup
  • Fresh coconut scraped - ½ cup
  • Cardamoms, ground - 5
  • Full cream milk - 4 cups

Preparation

  1. Wash, peel and grate sweet potatoes in a vessel.
  2. Heat milk in a saucepan on medium heat and add grated sweet potatoes to it.
  3. Cook stirring continuously till it turns soft and the mixture thickens.
  4. Then add sugar, cardamom powder and scraped coconut and cook for few more minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot or cold in a serving bowl.
