Cauliflower and peas curry

Ingredients

 

2 cups cauliflower, cut into small florets

1 cup green peas, boiled

2 bay leaves

2 tomatoes pureed

2 tsp fresh curds

2 tbsp cashewnut bits

1/2 tsp sugar

5 tbsp ghee or oil

salt to taste

 

To be ground into paste

 

2 tbsp grated coconut

2 tbsp coriander seeds

1/2" pc ginger

1 tsp cumin seeds

2 tsp poppy seeds( khus khus)

6 red chillies

 

Method

1. Heat 3 tbsp ghee, add cauliflower and gently fry for 5 min.  Remove and keep aside

2. Heat 2 tbsp ghee, add bay leaves and cashewnut bits and fry till cashew nut bits turn light brown.  Add paste and fry for 2-3 min.  Add tomato puree and curds and fry for 2-3 min.

3. Add cauliflower, green peas, sugar, 1/2 cup water and salt and cook for 5-7 min until vegetables are soft.

Offer it with chapathi
