The Cause of Crime.
Krishna Dharma Dasa: There are 80,000 people incarcerated in Britain’s prisons, twice as many as there were ten years ago - and the number is still rising. Strangely, though, crime figures are supposedly falling. That’s a debatable point, because many will argue that people are increasingly disinclined to report petty crimes, seeing that hard-pressed police are unlikely to respond, and even if they do it will serve little purpose. The chance of getting back stolen goods or

If we look back into Vedic history we will probably find many incidents that contravene modern-day standards of human rights and discrimination. If say, a liberal human rights monitor group were to go back 5,000 years, they would likely report negatively to the UN.

Why are some people by nature outgoing and talkative while others are quiet and shy? What are the forces of nature that compel people to act the way they do? How do these forces work, and who is controlling them?

2. Story of Puranjana
King Puranjana had unlimited desires for sense enjoyment. Consequently he traveled all over the world to find a place where all his desires could be fulfilled. Unfortunately he found a feeling of insufficiency everywhere. 27.12.
Once, while wandering I this way, he saw on the southern side of the Himalayas, in a place named Bharata Varsa a city that had nine gates all about and was characterized by all auspicious facilities. 27.13
While wandering here and there in that

Haridasa Thakur was a contemporary of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, known for his constant chanting of the name of Krishna. Mahaprabhu called Haridasa the namacharya, the living example of how to chant the holy names. Though Haridasa was born in a Muslim family, Lord Chaitanya and His devotees respected him as better than the best of brahmanas (Vedic priests). He would not eat or sleep until he finished his daily quota of chanting the name of Krishna 300,000 times.
Along with Lord Nityananda, Haridasa Th
This year, the appearance day for Sri Rangadevi and Sri Sudevi fell on the 5th of September 2017.
In the year 1992, the last of the four Asta-sakhis, or principle associates of Srimati Radharani, appeared in Mayapur and took their places on the altar. Rangadevi and Sudevi were two of these four, and they stand third and fourth on Srimati Radharani‘s left.
Rangadevi and Sudevi are identical twins. Their father is Rangasara and their mother is Karuna. Rangadevi is married to Vakreksana, and Sudevi i

Being a follower of Srila Prabhupada, I feel happy to discover this remarkable saying of the founder of ISKCON -
Think of Krishna always and try to work sincerely, everything will come automatically who said this in a letter to Aniruddha, July 7, 1968.
The devotee must carry on thinking of Sri Krishna. He must follow all the principles mentioned by his/her guru. His respect to Sri Krishna and the incessant chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra will work like miracles in his life helping him t
