Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

In the supplementary Vedic literature, there is the following list of thirty-two offenses in the matter of serving the Lord:--

(1) One should not enter the temple of the Deity in a car or palanquin or with shoes on the feet.

The Two Frogs

Hare krsna

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

There were two frogs. One frog lived in the sea. He knew vastness, openness and fathomless-ness. He was so used to bigness that the sea is, that no smallness could trap his attention.
The other frog lived in a well, not far from the sea. But he knew not what sea was. He had never seen it—not even heard of it. In his most wildest of imaginations, if at all he ever imagined, sea was an extended

The Yogi And The Cowherd

Hare krsna

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

There was a certain Yogi who used to practise meditation in a lonely part of the forest, on the banks of a river.
There was a poor cowherd, a very ignorant man, who used to tend his herd in that forest. Every day he
used to see this same Yogi meditating by the hour, practising austerities, living alone and studying.
Somehow the cowherd got curious as to what he did. So he came to the Yogi and said, "Sir, can you teach me t

The Indescribable Beauty of Srimati Radharani

The Indescribable Beauty of Srimati Radharani

Sri Radha - Radharani - Radhika

"O Radharani, O Queen of Vrindavana, Your complexion is like molten gold, Your doe-like eyes are captivatingly restless, a million full and brilliant moons wane before Your lustrous countenance, and a blue sari, having stolen the hue of a fresh rain-laden cloud, has enwrapped Your exquisite form. O Radha, You are the crest-jewel of all the dallying damsels of Vrindavana, fragrant and pristine like a budding jasmine flower. Your sublime form is adorned

Sri Sri Radha Krishna Pastimes

"When Srimati Radharani first saw Krishna, She suddenly became conscious of all transcendental happiness, and the functions of Her different limbs were stunned. When Lalita, Her constant companion, whispered into Her ear, the holy name of Krishna, Radharani immediately opened Her eyes wide. (Nectar of Devotion, pg 259)

Srimati Radharani"One day, in a joking mood, Krishna informed Radharani, 'My dear Radharani, I am going to give up Your Company.' Upon saying this, He immediately disappeared, and because of this,

It has about 18,000 verses in 12 cantos and is the most widely read and one of the greatest works of devotion ever written. It is a book that goes to the core of understanding God and reveals the bliss of devotion to the Supreme Being, the depths of which make the other Vedic gods, such as Shiva, also hanker for it. This Purana describes how Vyasadeva came to write it and details the

Practicing Yoga in the Modern Age

Hare krsna

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

The goals of modern-day yoga enthusiasts are dwarfed by the achievements of India's ancient yogis, who, according to historical accounts, could become smaller than atoms and lighter than air and who could travel, unaided, anywhere in the universe. Yet even these superachievements, says Srila Prabhupada, are "only a step forward." How the true pinnacle of human consciousness, superconsciousness, is obtainable -- here and

Vaikunta Prema Vs Goloka Prema

Hare krsna

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Regulative principles only bring in the discipline and obedience to authority.  We need to adopt Bhagavta Vidhi as well in parallel for our progress.

Therefore Srila Prabhupad simeltanious introduced Panchatratrika Vidhi and Bhagavt Vidhi.

Pancharatrika Vidh helps us in Vidhi Marg and Bhagavath Vidhi helps us in Rananuga Marg.

Both of this is considered as Sadhana Bhakti.

Devitional Service in Practice helps in cultivation

love krishna

Lord Chaitanya is the Supreme Person, Krishna, appearing as His own worshiper. He is the combined form of Krishna and Krishna's most dear devotee, Srimati  Radharani . He came to experience the love She feels for Him, and to show by example how to fully surrender to Krishna.

He exhibited symptoms of love of God to the highest degree, and emphasized chanting the holy names of Krishna as the best means to attain love of God.

Freedom from hankering, lamentation and fear

Hare krsna

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

The grace of the Lord is abhaya, free from fearfulness. The benediction of the Lord is never to be lost. It is simply to be enjoyed. One simply gains and enjoys gaining. Bhagavad-gita also confirms this: when one achieves the grace of the Lord, the result is that all distresses are destroyed. When situated in the transcendental position, one is freed from the two kinds of material diseases—hankering and lamentation. Lam

Everyone is a thief

Alexander the Great arrested one thief, and was going to punish him. The thief pleaded, "Sir, you are punishing me, but what is the difference between you and me? I am a small thief, you are a great thief. You are occupying other's kingdom by force; you have no right. Because you are strong, you are conquering country after country. I am also doing the same thing. So what is the difference?" Alexander considered, "Yes,

The Intelligent Mule

Hare krsna

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Once upon a time a farmer owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer's well. The farmer heard the mule 'braying' after it fell into the well.
After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither
the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving.
Instead, he called his neighbors together and told them what had happened...and enlisted them to help
haul dirt to bury
