It is our time to leave
It is real but hard to believe.
It is my anxiety
What will happen to our society?
A society which Prabhupada built, with hard efforts and pain
Different color bodies sitting here today, that is the ultimate gain.
We were young when we joined the movement
Vigour and energy were there to supplement.
Thinking, we must do whatever we can
In this allotted life span.
When Prabhupada left,
with a broken heart we moved further.
His lesson which I always remember
To cooperate with each other
And always live like a family together.
We tried to preach as per Prabhupada’s vision
Through Sankirtan and book distribution.
Many challenges had to be faced
But nothing hampered our pace.
Now the responsibility lies with the new generation
To maintain the standards with awe and veneration.
Please follow Srila Prabhupada’s mood
Then everything will always flourish well & good.
O my dear new successors!
Please remember the sacrifice of predecessors.
Don’t let the false ego get in between
Which hits very hard, although unseen.
So this is all I want to say
On this very memorable day.
Never get discouraged with temporary discomforts
