I have been watching for some time the videos of devotees distributing Bhagavatam sets, so I vowed that I will also do a Bhagavatam set each week.

I adjusted my approach and applied two new principles to achieve this raised bar that I set for myself:

1. Actually carry a set with me on my weekly book tours.
(Previously, I’d leave the sets in the storehouse and take it with me only after someone had placed an order.)

2. Display the whole set to every person that shows even a half-hearted interest and talk about it more than ten seconds.

The result is that I have been able to distribute one Bhagavatam set every week. Out of every six people that I show the set, one of them takes it.

Here is the video –

These people, Ash and his partner, Aara, told me that they don’t even have a TV at home, in order to live a meditative lifestyle. They intuitively resolved this will be their last birth (they were never even connected to any devotees previously). As soon as I showed them the Bhagavatam, they bought it. They decided in about ten seconds.

I would encourage everyone to try this approach. It’s quite satisfying and blissful for both the giver and receiver.

Humbly,
Radhika Prasad (Sydney)
