The Vrindavan Institute for Higher Education (VIHE) will hold “Alone with Kṛṣṇa, Together with Kṛṣṇa’s Devotees,” a retreat at the Govardhana Retreat Center at Govardhana, from 4:00 p.m. on October 23 to 12:00 p.m. on October 26, 2026. Led by Bhurijana Dasa, the retreat will offer a focused period of Kṛṣṇa-kathā, japa, prayer, śāstric reading, introspection, kīrtana, prasādam, and association with devotees.

For devotees whose responsibilities and routines often leave little space for quiet reflection, time in Vraja can carry a particular longing. The retreat has been designed around that need for both inward attention and devotional association, creating an opportunity to step away from digital distractions and spend concentrated time in devotional practice at Govardhana.

VIHE describes the program as a digital-detox retreat. Participants will have time for introspection, prayer, sincere japa, and meaningful śāstric reading, alongside Kṛṣṇa-kathā and shared devotional activities.

The title, “Alone with Kṛṣṇa, Together with Kṛṣṇa’s Devotees,” expresses the balance at the heart of the retreat. Time alone is set aside for personal reflection and devotional practice, while the shared program includes association with devotees, kīrtana, and prasādam.

Held at the Govardhana Retreat Center, the retreat also offers participants an opportunity to spend these days in the atmosphere of Vraja. For those who carry affection for Govardhana but are often unable to spend extended time there, the retreat provides a dedicated period to return to hearing, chanting, prayer, and study in that setting.
