Govinda Datta Dasa and Dhira-Lalita Dasa distribute 10-course prasadam lunches to grateful police officers.
Dhira-Lalita Dasa, a brahmachari at ISKCON New Dvaraka Temple, has produced an inspiring 25-minute video highlighting the partnership between the LA Temple and the Krishna Lunch So Cal food truck. Together they have distributed prasadam to many hundreds of first responders, especially firefighters who have been battling the devastating fires in LA county. Alongside police and national guard troops, they are now also beginning the difficult work of cleanup and restoring access, power, and other resources to home and business owners returning to their neighborhoods.
The video includes interviews with devotees who have been serving on the front lines of this nourishing outreach, including Ratna Bhusana Dasa, Govinda Datta Dasa, Shantatma Dasi, and others. Viewers will see that recipients are amazed and grateful for the free multi-course lunch and organic lemonade. To watch the full video, click here.
Danger still real and present; many left homeless from the tragedy.
The fire danger is still real for residents of LA County with the Palisades fire still burning and a new blaze erupting in Santa Clarita said Ratna Bhusana Dasa. “Govinda Datta Dasa took 200 plates to a YMCA where displaced residents are temporarily housed,” he noted.
