Dear Devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
Over the past four years ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya (IBM) has been serving the Vaisnava community all over the world, by starting various study circles and encouraging devotees to study and teach Srimad Bhagavatam.
It is our great pleasure to inform you all that ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya has established its very own Vedic University in Sri Vrindavan Dham. It aims to provide a facility for its members to study, practice, and disseminate the teachings of Srimad Bhagavatam, together with the writings of the Gaudiya Vaisnava acaryas and the branches of Vedic philosophy, culture, music and science, in the context of Srila Prabhupada’s teachings.
ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya, in affiliation with ‘Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan - Delhi’, will provide facilities for pursuing Bachelors and Masters degree courses in Sanskrit. It will facilitate philosophical training for adult residential and non-residential students through traditional Vedic educational methods.
Srila Prabhupada once remarked: “Vrindavan is my residence, Bombay is my office, and Mayapur is where I worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead.”
Throughout his life, Srila Prabhupada was always thinking of Vrindavan. Out of compassion for the suffering people of Kali-yuga, he tirelessly wrote books about the eternally joyful, spiritual relationships experienced by liberated souls residing in Vrindavan.
ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya is located in Sri Vrindavan dhama to systematically propagate the teachings of Srimad-Bhagavatam and Caitanya-caritamrta to the society at large by:
· Providing Vedic education free of cost.
· Maintaining an educational environment appropriate to the Vaisnava tradition.
· Giving special emphasis on realisation - through practical application of knowledge in all aspects of life.
· Propagating a culture of establishing the Bhagavatam as the core guiding principle of our lives.
· Supporting the devotee community to develop a genuine taste for studying Srimad Bhagavatam.
· Training devotees in presenting seminars and lectures on the knowledge, practices, and values of the Vaisnava tradition.
