This beautiful and emotionally stirring video documentary produced by Prananantha das about the TOVP Chakra Installation Ceremony on February 7th, 2018 is sure to arouse in your heart a further appreciation for this historic and visionary project initiated by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder/Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
Attended by over 6,000 devotees and watched by over 1 million viewers on Mayapur TV, this most important and pivotal event marks another milestone of progress in the construction of the TOVP and heralds the final stages of its completion. The placing of the three Chakras, the crown jewels of the TOVP onto the domes is now complete and we expect full protection and auspiciousness as we proceed for the next four years with MISSION 22, the marathon effort to complete the TOVP by 2022 and celebrate its Grand Opening to the world.
His Holiness Gopal Krishna Maharaja emphasized in an introductory speech to the assembled devotees:
“We have come this far and the Sudarshana Chakras are now being installed, but that’s not the end of the story. Our endeavor and deadline is to complete this project by 2022, four more years, and there’s a lot more work to be done. This is attainable if every devotee in the Krishna consciousness movement becomes a TOVP Ambassador and plays their role to make this project succeed.”
In a letter from the hospital, His Holiness Jayapataka Maharaja expressed these thoughts:
“With the great effort and generosity of Svaha Dasi, Ambarisa Dasa and family, and with many yatras, temples and individuals helping, the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium has come to this level of transcendental completion. The TOVP was desired by Srila Prabhupada as his special offering to the previous acaryas and to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The raising of the cakras and the installation of the cakras symbolize the structural completion of the TOVP and now, finishing work has to proceed.”
Her Grace Svaha Mataji, wife of TOVP Chairman and Great Grandson of auto magnate Henry Ford, Ambarisa das, appealing to the audience said:
“On this most auspicious occasion may the Lord’s Sudarshan Chakra illuminate our path to completion of the TOVP in 2022. This is a historic moment, not only for ISKCON but for our entire Gaudiya Vaishnava sampradaya. Our previous acharyas have blessed our endeavors to manifest the TOVP and they are most certainly pleased to see us celebrate the victory over the forces of Kali by Srila Prabhupada’s movement…..Let this occasion serve as a springboard for 2022 when Sri Sri Radha Madhava, Sri Pancha Tattva, Sri Nrsimhadeva and Srila Prabhupada can move into Their new home. The next four years are the last stretch of the marathon and we have to sprint to the finish line together with great vigor and enthusiasm. We have full faith that if we come together in all earnestness for the next four short years we can make this collective offering to Srila Prabhupada”.
His Grace Braja Vilas das, TOVP Global Fundraising Director and event organizer expressed his deep-felt emotions saying:
“Srila Prabhupada said to make the moon of Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir rise more and more. Today we can gladly offer him the half moon. The full moon will be offered in 2022… This ceremony is not just the installation of the Chakras but the victory of Srila Prabhupada in conquering the whole world.”
