With immense gratitude and pleasure, we will like to share this GOOD NEWS with all of you !
We have achieved the GOAL for the collection for PHASE-2 to purchase the adjacent land to Srila Prabhupada Birthplace. As you know, in Phase1, we purchased around 3,600 square feet of land. Now in PHASE-2 we will have another 4,600 Square feet land. SO NOW WE HAVE GOT around 8,200 square feet land. Our Goal is to acquire around 1.5 acres of land to build a memorial as desired and instructed by Srila Prabhupada through his letter dated 4th May 1977.
This PHASE 2 land was almost lost to the developers, who had signed agreement with the Thika tenants, but by the help of Government and by the instant help and donations of His Holiness Radhanath Swami Maharaj, His Grace Ambarish Prabhu ji , His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Maharaj, His Holiness Devamrit Swami Maharaj, His Holiness Sivaram Swami Maharaj, Sri Purusottam Goyal prabhu, we were able to pay the Thika tenant and save the land which was very crucial for the project.
Once we secured this land and paid the Thika tenants, we needed another 1.5 crores rupees to evict the Bharatiyas (sub tenants) who were living on the property. Then Arjun Bhattacharya prabhu and His Grace Deenbandhu prabhu ji (ACBSP) came forward and they made it a mission to collect for Srila Prabhupada birthplace. Both of them travelled through different cities of Australia, Fiji and New Zealand and by the support of the devotees there, they have collected Rs 1.3 crore rupees or 30% of the PHASE 2 money which was needed. This is just amazing. Our MILLIONS of Dandavats Pranams to His Grace Deenbandhu prabhu ji and his assistant Arjun Bhattacharya prabhu for making it a mission to collect for Srila Prabhupada BIRTHPLACE PROJECT.
We would like to thank all devotees of Sydney, Auckland and other places who worked tirelessly to meet the target. Very very special thanks to His Grace Ghanshyam Govind prabhu ji (Sydney) , His Grace Kalasamvara prabhu ji (Auckland) , His Grace Krishna Chandra prabhu ji (Auckland) and devotees and congregation of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. A big thank you to the GBC’s of Australia His Holiness Devamrita Swami, His Holiness Ramai Swami and His Holiness Janananda Swami Maharj.
A young boy in Auckland, whose name is Joe Madsen and who is aspiring from His Holiness Devamrita Swami, came forward and donated all his savings for Srila Prabhupada. Initially devotees thought that he was trying to donate NZ $ 1600, but when they counted his money it was NZ $ 16,001. Stories like this humbles us and fill our hearts with gratitude. We don’t have enough words to express our gratitude to each one of you.
Spirit like this will surely fulfill the desire of Srila Prabhupada and soon a grand memorial will stand at his Divine Birthplace.

In this PHASE-3 we are eying a plot which is almost half acres and will cost around Rs 12 crores of rupees or US $ 1,500,000 (1.5 million US $) . Please pray for the success of PHASE-3, so that we can start PHASE-4 quickly.
