Twelve principal names of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu are:
* Chaitanya — The living force
* Krsna-Chaitanya – The all-attractive Supreme living force
* Gauranga – He of fair bodily complexion
* Dvija-Nayaka – The hero amongst the twice-born brahmanas
* Yatinam Siromani – The crest jewel of sannyasis (who wander freely)
* Dandinam Siromani - The crest jewel of sannyasis (who carry staffs)
* Nyasinam Siromani – The crest jewel of sannyasis (who renounce everything)

raktambara-dharah sriman navadvipa-sudhakarah
prema-bhakti-pradas caiva sri-saci-nandanas tatha
* Raktambara - Dhara – He Who wears red cloth
* Sriman – The supreme opulent one
* Navadvipa - Sudhakara – The source of nectar in Navadvipa
* Prema-Bhakti-Prada – The bestower of ecstatic loving devotion
* Sri-Sachi-Nandana – The delightful son of mother Sachi

dvadasaitani namani tri-sandhyam yah pathen narah
tasya vancha-susiddhih syat bhaktih srila-padambuje
“That person who recites these twelve holy names of the Lord three times a day (at dawn, noon and dusk) will achieve the perfection of all their best desires, and will attain pure devotion unto the divine lotus feet of Lord Chaitanya.”
Oh great soul! It is recommended that in the morning (6-8:24 a.m.), one faithfully approach and recite this sin-destroying prayer to Shri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. One who does will fill the awakening of ecstatic loving devotion unto Lord Hari – of this there is no doubt! Even if one is afflicted with an incurable disease, one becomes freed from all danger of the ailment. Even if one has committed all types of offences, one becomes freed from their effects. If one chants this great prayer with faith and transcendental devotion on Lord Caitanya`s appearance day (Gaura-Purnima), then one perpetually attains the fulfillment of their each and every pure desire. If a devotee couple wishes to have a child but are unable, then they will obtain a child without a doubt. And at the time of death, they will attain remembrance of Shri Caitanya-deva and enter His eternal pastimes.
