31209412284?profile=RESIZE_584xA six-year independent effort to adapt the Srimad-Bhagavatam into animated video form for a general audience reached completion on July 11, 2026, when ISKCON Miraflores hosted a free public screening of the project, “The Conquest of the Universe.” The event marked the release of matching 32-episode editions in Spanish and English, distributed through YouTube and, for the English version, through the broadcaster Hare Krishna TV. The screening drew congregation members and supporters who had followed the project’s development since 2020.

The producer, Jagat Pavitram Das, a disciple of Hanumatpreshaka Swami and an electronics engineer, financed and built the series largely on his own, spending an estimated $29,000 against roughly $1,100 in donations. The project’s completion and its next phase raise a question relevant to religious institutions generally: how much of the work of adapting scripture for new audiences can, or should, be carried out by individual practitioners operating outside formal institutional channels.
