Recently, after almost 10-15 years, we had the opportunity to organise Ratha Yatra in Sheffield. The mercy we experienced through this festival has truly melted our hearts.

The seed of this dream was planted on Radhastami 2025, during a house programme, when HG Tribhangananda Prabhuji inspired us to organise Ratha Yatra in Sheffield. Within just a few minutes, he gave us so much confidence and encouragement that we began to believe that this dream could become a reality.

We are only a handful of devotees in Sheffield. We did not have a large congregation, enough manpower or the finances required to organise an event of this scale. Yet we decided to take the first step and simply see where Krishna would take us.

As we started reaching out to devotees, we were blessed to connect with HG Parashuram Prabhuji and Moksha Lakshmi Mataji. They have truly been mercy personified for us.

I still remember sending Prabhuji a very long list of things we needed—chariot deities, prasadam plates, spoons and many other items. I wasn’t sure what his response would be.

31273328066?profile=RESIZE_584xHe simply replied with three magical words:

“Yes to all.”

Those three words meant so much to us. Through his generosity and kindness, we felt Srila Prabhupada’s mercy.

We also did not have enough donations to cover the sound system. HG Tribhangananda Prabhuji was very happy to help. He brought the children’s chariot and deities, along with his mobile sound system, which he calls the Nama Chariot, inspired by Namacharya. He also provided the sound system for the stage.

And then, in the final week, another challenge came. The kirtaniyas who were scheduled to perform on stage had to cancel for various reasons.

Once again, Krishna made His arrangement.

HG Tribhangananda Prabhuji and HG Parashuram Prabhuji stepped forward and managed the programme themselves. They performed the aarti and rituals, led the kirtan during the procession, and continued singing afterwards. They simply saw what was needed and served.

For us, this was one of the most beautiful aspects of the entire festival—not just the Ratha Yatra itself, but witnessing devotees coming forward whenever there was a need.

And then came the delicious prasadam.

We were able to distribute 350+ plates of prasadam, and the queue just seemed never-ending. People kept coming, and somehow the prasadam continued to be served.

At the end, not a single grain was left. Nothing was wasted.

For us, even this felt like Krishna’s perfect arrangement.

Looking back, we feel that we were never alone in this service. What began as a small dream among a handful of devotees became a beautiful festival filled with the mercy of Jagannath, Srila Prabhupada and the entire devotee community.

We are deeply grateful to our parampara and to every devotee who contributed—through time, resources, service, encouragement, cooking, kirtan, volunteering, travelling or simply being there.

A very special heartfelt thank you to HG Tribhangananda Prabhuji, HG Parashuram Prabhuji and Moksha Lakshmi Mataji for their incredible support and generosity.

We will always cherish the experience of seeing Jagannath’s mercy unfold before our eyes in Sheffield.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Lord Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra Maharani. All glories to all the assembled devotees!
