Gargamuni Maharaja said he felt it was difficult for them to believe that a sadhu could possess so much money from selling books.
"That may be beyond their dream," Prabhupada said, "but I am not so-called sadhu. I am trying to execute the orders of my Guru Maharaja, predecessor. I am not a so-called sadhu, taking a saffron robe, begging for fulfilling the belly."
"They have to accept you as an international leader," Gargamuni said.
"I must be international leader," Prabhupada agreed as a matter of fact, adding that such huge sales of a single person's books, especially philosophical and religious works, was unique in history. He laughed and said that the public generally considered such literature untouchable. Thus, his feat is even more remarkable.
