Respected Maharajas and Prabhus,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
It's a great privilege to share with you the encouraging news of the Honorable Prime Minister of India sending his best wishes to ISKCON on the auspicious occasion of the 30 th anniversary of the Moscow Society of Krishna Consciousness. We also have a video message by Mr. Harsh Vardhan, the Honorable Union Minister for Science and Technology, wishing the devotees of ISKCON Russia, the best for this historical event.
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had forecasted that His Holy Name will be propagated in every town and village and He had sent His Senapati Bhakta Srila Prabhupada for this purpose.
In just a few days of visit to the erstwhile Soviet Union, Srila Prabhupada sowed the seeds of the real Russian revolution- in consciousness. Starting with HG Ananta Shanti Pr and several other Russian devotees, the many untold tales of sacrifice from behind the Iron Curtain have today resulted in thousands of devotees and scores of ISKCON preaching centers in Russia.
Srila Prabhupada had sent HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja to oversee preaching in the Soviet Union and by the unstinted efforts of Maharaja and many other wonderful devotees book distribution, congregation preaching and temple construction are all growing, often against the tide and despite Government non cooperation.
On the request of the Russian Yatra, we followed up the Government for messages of support to inspire and encourage ISKCON in Russia and everywhere else. This message by the Prime Minister and Union Minister, will, I am sure supplement the tireless efforts of all the devotees in the Russian Yatra and facilitate its growth from strength to strength. PFA, the written message by the PM and the video message from the Minister.
Many thanks for your kind attention to this mail.
