31189294087?profile=RESIZE_584xAs ISKCON marks its 60th anniversary in 2026, projects preserving the movement’s living history have taken on renewed significance. Among the most important is the long-running Prabhupada Memories project, which has released several new videos over the past few weeks on its popular YouTube channel. With over three hours of new content, the videos feature the personal recollections of disciples whose lives were transformed through their association with ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Founded by Siddhanta Dasa, the Prabhupada Memories project began in 1991 after he recorded an impromptu interview with Srutakirti Dasa, one of Srila Prabhupada’s personal servants. Recognizing the historical and spiritual value of these firsthand accounts, Siddhanta Dasa embarked on a mission to document the experiences of Prabhupada’s disciples worldwide.

Over the past three decades, he has conducted hundreds of interviews, collecting thousands of unique stories that have been published through videos, DVDs, books, and online platforms. The archive has become one of the most significant oral history projects within ISKCON, preserving personal insights into Srila Prabhupada’s teachings, character, humor, compassion, and leadership.

As ISKCON commemorates six decades since its founding in New York City in 1966, these firsthand accounts offer a unique opportunity for younger generations to hear directly from those who personally served and traveled with Srila Prabhupada during the movement’s formative years.
