Hare Krishna Vaisnavas!
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
I write poems and monthly put them in a chapbook for the pleasure of Guru and Gouranga,
the devotees, and anyone who doesn't know about Krishna, but likes poetry.
A devotee suggested I share with you, and so, for your consideration, here it is =)
our life, in time

 later, a stranger
 will wear your shirt,
 buttoned all the way,

 while another leafs
 through your favorite book
 without liking it.

 finally, someone will spend
 your lucky penny
 in a foreign city.

 the sun
 pines to see itself
 in the moon,

 the ocean, to endure
 past where its edges break,
and time, to be forgotten — so lon

 as we throw
our fickle spirits onto the sand
 that can’t retain us.
we’ll meet in different bodies soon,
 believe in those new names
as we believe in these now,
and still struggle
 to see each other glow
 in this storm of light.

 the clouds will heap
themselves at the sky and hew
 against each afternoon until then,
flowers and the divine
 will flash unfettered before ready
 and unready eyes alike.
fortune hides
 in unfinished chores,
 i am hopeful
we may crown
 ourselves with their performance,
like petals act on the blossom
of a bloom in summer,
 summer, the season,
 words, a poem,
and our glimpse,
in a flare of spontaneous love,
 its final Revelation.
