The Om Surabhi campaign was innaugarated on the 1st Jan 2015 and will continue until 22nd Nov 2027. The aim of this campaign is to increase the awareness and importance of goraksha/cow protection, goseva/service to cows and gopuja/worship of the cows.
This campaign was innaugarated by the ISKCON Daiva Varnasrama Ministry, which itself aims to establish varnasrama communities in different parts of the world, to protect cows and to educate devotees and the public of the benefits of caring for and protecting cows.
Two devotees from this ministry are presently visiting Hong Kong for some days in order to share information about this effort. In this regard they will be setting up a table in the temple room on the 24th,25th and 26th of Dec with various educational materials. They also have various products such as soaps, toothpaste and incense, produced from cow urine and stool.
On the 26th Dec from 11am-1pm these same devotees will give a presentation about this program and the Om Sri Surabhi campaign. A short talk will take place along with some video presentations.
We would like to encourage you all to come forward and offer your support by visiting the table that will be set up in the temple room and by also attending the function on the 26th of Dec.
In this way we can receive some blessing of Sri Surabhi devi by offering her some services.
