Health Update of HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja

Dear devotees, disciples, and well-wishers,
Please accept our humble obeisances.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Guru Mahārāja’s condition remains fragile and requires close medical monitoring.
Since last night, he has developed fever with chills, and the fever is continuing today. Further evaluation of some fungal infection is underway, and depending on the findings, his antifungal treatment may need to be increased.
Guru Mahārāja’s blood pressure has been low, and medication to support it has been started. His WBC count has improved with treatment, and we are hopeful that this improvement will be sustained.
Some lesions on his toes and legs, resulting from prolonged low blood pressure, are gradually healing. The infection in his mouth and lips is also reducing, and he is tolerating his tube feeds.
However, he has not been able to be transferred to a wheelchair for the past couple of days, and there has been no progress with swallowing trials. His alertness has also reduced.
While there are some encouraging signs, the continuing fever, low blood pressure, infection concerns, reduced alertness, and overall weakness mean that Guru Mahārāja’s condition remains serious.
We are grateful for all your prayers and humbly request that devotees intensify prayers for recovery of Guru Mahārāja.
May the causeless mercy of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava, Śrī Pañca-tattva, Śrī Prahlāda-Nṛsiṁhadeva, and Śrīla Prabhupāda protect and help the recovery of Guru Mahārāja.
