Mayapur Jhulan Yatra 2012

Each year the Mayapur Vaisnava Youth organize the Jhulan Yatra festival for the pleasure of Sri Sri Radha Madhava under the guidance of H.G. Jananivas Prabhu and H.G. Pankajanghri Prabhu. The festival runs for five days and this year will herald the 26th Anniversary in Mayapur. It has become one of the highlight festivals of the year. Daily about 5000 devotees and pilgrims come to swing Their Lordships from around Mayapur, Navadvipa and other localities. The festival also features kirtans, bhajans, offering of lamps, fireworks, acrobatics, stage programs, children’s activities, special activities on Balarama Purnima, as well as distributing thousands of plates of prasadam.
Jhulan begins from 29th July and continues until the 2nd August. This year’s event will be graced and inaugurated by special guests including His Holiness Jayapataka Swami, His Holiness Bhakti Caru Swami, His Holiness Bhakti Purushottama Maharaj, His Grace Jananivas Prabhu and His Grace Pankajanghri Prabhu, all of whom will speak on Jhulan Yatra throughout the five day festival.
Our Jhulan team have prepared a DVD documenting the festival here in Mayapur, explaining how the festival manifests, clips of the festival, interviews with HH Jayapataka Swami, HH Bhakti Caru Swami, HH Bhakti Purusottama Swami, HG Jananivasa Prabhu. The leaflets explain how devotees may donate towards the festival and the bank account details are also written there. Please note that the treasury account where the funds end up in Mayapur is a general festival account and so when devotees deposit a donation it is important that they also send a confirmation email to us at mayapurjhulan@pamho.net informing us the details of their donation (1. Name of donor; 2. Exact date of remittance; 3. Exact amount remitted; 4. Purpose of donation – mentioning that it is for Jhulan Yatra.)
